Billy Twomey and CHAT BOTTE ED jumping at Bolesworth International Horse Show 2023

Billy Twomey and CHAT BOTTE E.D. are pictured competing in the Bolesworth International Horse Trials where they won the blue riband class, the 1.55m Grand Prix, sponsored by Cavargo.

Billy Twomey show jumps for Ireland and is currently ranked as one of the best show jumpers in Ireland. Ranking highly in the Longines World Rankings.

He currently has a a very strong string of horses headed up by World Class stars such as Diaghilev, Ardcolumn Duke, Tin Tin, Eindhoven, Kimba Flamenco, and Pewit Nono, backed up by some super younger horses such as Gentleman, Cardino, Hashtag, Lady Lou and Moneybroom Dancer. He also has his super star stallions Luidam and Je T’aime Flamenco standing at stud.

CHAT BOTTE ED is much loved by Billy’s grooms, who call him Ed, Edward or Eduardo. Originally named CHAT BOTTE DU RUISSEAU Z, Ed was originally owned by the late Sue Davis, who changed the name in memory of her late husband Eddie Davis. When Sue later discovered that she was terminally ill, she signed over ownership of the horse to Billy Twomey along with four other quality showjumpers.

CHAT BOTTE ED is by CASALL out of a DARCO mare called PUPIBLUE DU RUISSEAU, a grand daughter of RAMIRO Z. Ed was campaigned to the 1.60m level by Johnny Pals before being purchased by the Davis family.

Billy Twomey is based in Nottinghamshire in the village of Gonalston, where he has a yard with water features as well as indoor and outdoor jumping arenas.
