Last week I travelled to Yorkshire to photograph a charity cross country training day with Lydia Hannon.
The day was organised by Molly Shepherd-Boden, kindly sponsored by Saracens Horse Feeds and was in aid of the Cancer charity Melanoma Focus.
Oxfordshire-based Lydia trained ten groups throughout the day, using the cross country facilities at Manor Farm, in Carr, well known in the area for its impressive equine rehabilitation facilties.
We saw horses and ponies with a wide range of ages and experience over the course of the day, but all made significant progress during their sessions, a tribute to the patience and skill of the trainer.
I would like to thank Ann and Lee at Manor Farm for hosting the event and being so welcoming to us all; to Lydia Hannon for her amazing endurance, and, of course, Molly for all her hard work in organising the day from scratch.
Images of the day are online in separate galleries for each group. They can be downloaded free when Molly has received your photo donation, and if you want prints then they can be ordered too, with proceeds going to the same charity.
