At the tail end of a season hugely disrupted by COVID, Thoresby Park stepped in to host the young horse championships usually hosted by the Osberton Estate, a few miles away in Nottinghamshire.

This inaugural event featured 2* and 3* classes across three days and gave visitors the chance to experience the vision of the spring Carnival of Eventing which Bede Events plan to run in early April each year. Sadly in 2020, there was to be no eventing for much of the season due to the outbreak of COVID in the United Kingdom and the subsequent lockdown.
As Autumn began it became clear the it might be possible to hold an event behind closed doors but, at the request of the residents of the Osberton Estate, the regular event which features the young horse championship classes was moved a few miles away to the Thoresby Park Estate.
