Tim Price is a world-class event rider who has represented New Zealand at the Olympics, World Equestrian Games, and numerous other international competitions. He is currently ranked number one in the world by the FEI.
Price was born in Oxford, New Zealand, in 1979. He grew up on a farm and began riding horses at a young age. He showed promise as a showjumper, but eventually switched to eventing.
Price made his international debut in 2002. He competed at his first five-star event in 2003 and finished ninth. He has since gone on to win numerous five-star events, including Burghley (2018), Luhmuhlen (2019), and Pau (2021).
Price has also represented New Zealand at the Olympics twice. He was a member of the team that finished fourth at the 2016 Rio Games and fifth at the 2021 Tokyo Games. He also competed at the 2018 World Equestrian Games, finishing eighth individually.
Price is known for his consistent performances and his ability to ride difficult horses. He is also a master of the cross-country course, often finishing with clear rounds.
In addition to his competitive success, Price is also a successful businessman. He runs a horse training yard in Wiltshire, England, with his wife, Jonelle Price, who is also an elite event rider.
