Isabelle "Bubby" Upton

Bubby (real name Isabelle) Upton is a young British event rider, based in Herringswell, near Newmarket.

In 2022 she graduated with a First Class Honours degree from Edinburgh University.

With COLA III, Bubby finished Badminton Horse Trials 2022 in 36th place and Burghley Horse Trials in 14th place.

Bubby was a member of the Newmarket and Thurlow Pony Club and represented her club at the Pony Club Championships six times, from the age of nine.

Notable Results for Bubby Upton

2022

Having finished 2nd in the Spring Carnival at Thoresby with COLA III the pair made their 5* debut and completed both Badminton and Burghley Horse Trials.

2021

Won the CCI-L u25 4* title on CANNAVARO at Bicton International and also won the CCI-S 4* at Childeric Saddles Little Downham International, Bubby then went on to make her 5* debut with COLA III and CANNAVARO at Les Etoiles de Pau.

2019

Bubby and Cola III Individual Silver and Team Gold at the Young Rider Europeans.

2018

Bubby as she completed her first CIC4* (old CIC3*) at 19 years old at Burgham finishing fourth on FERNHILL ROCKSTAR

2017

Bubby (with EROS DHI) was crowned the new Junior European Champion after winning Gold at the Europeans held in Millstreet with a new world record dressage score at the time of 23.9. This score also helped Team GB win Team Silver.
