The Quorn Hunt Opening Meet 2016 was the second of the Shire Pack opening meets, as they are known, to be held. Their 2016 opening meet was at their kennels at Kirby Bellars.
As usual the Quorn Hunt attracted a good field, including a large number of side saddle riders (one male included) who were all wearing yellow flowers to add even more colour to an already bright occasion.
Knowing the first trail of the day was to lead the hounds quickly away from the meet I elected to move ahead of them and meet them at the first set of jumps, near Crown Hill. From here the trail led hounds into Gartree Covert and then back on a line towards the back of Burrough Hill.
Moving ahead once more I met up with hounds near Thorpe Satchville where the field were jumping a series of fences and hedges near the disused railway line and second horses.
