My experience of working for event photographers at every level is that social media has made a big impact. Ok, I didn't have to be a genius to work that out, especially as you are probably reading this via social media right now. However, adapting the products I sell to the requirements of today's client is very important to me.
People have been telling me for a while that they would love a print for their wall/desk but don't want the hassle of scanning it so that they can also post it onto their social media pages as well, especially as scans like this rarely do the print any justice. They want a simple way to buy both print and electronic copy.
You will now find, on nearly all my published photographs, the option to "Add to package" as well as the usual Prints, Products and Downloads options. Here you have the option to purchase a print and get an electronic copy included for a greatly reduced price compared to ordering separately. There are options for 7x5, 8x6 and 10x8 each with an 800px download perfect for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, your blog etc.
Just for good measure I have also added a package for those of you who prefer to collect electronically rather than with a print. The Triple Download pack gives you a 25% discount over the normal price and is ideal if you want to order three downloads.
