Greta Mason

Greta Mason is an up and coming talented young event rider aiming to compete at the highest level and work towards representing her country on either an Australian or GB team. Her home is in Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire but she is based at Rodney Powell's yard in Wiltshire.

In 2022 she finished second in the CCI 4*-Lu25 section at Bramham and was crowned British Under-25 Champion. She went on to complete her first CCI5*-L at Pau where she finished 15th and also represented Great Britain for the first time in the Nations Cup at Ballindenisk, finishing fourth.

Greta was born in Australia and had her imagination first fired for equine adventure when she was four. This has no doubt paved the way for her appetite for fast cross-country riding as her hired mount aptly called Bullet ran off with her into the Tasmanian forest. Greta lived there for 8 years before moving to England. She got her first pony at the age of 8yrs and that fired her passion to make riding her career.

Over the past few years Greta has produced a number of horses, most notably Tinkers Pearl and Cooley for Sure who are now at CCI2* and competed this year at the Young Rider Championships at Houghton Hall in 2017. Both horses have gained valuable experience through the year.Alongside her more established horses Greta is currently is producing a number of other younger quality eventers from 4 year olds upwards which are for sale.

In addition, Greta has enjoyed considerable success with her involvement in the Pony Club. She been a key longstanding Burghley member being part of the winning Eventing Championship team in 2016. At this event Greta also won the individual Pony Club Championship Cross Country Bursary.

Following on from this in 2017 Greta gained her A test with Honours and has just been appointed as a Pony Club Ambassador.

Heidi Coy

Growing up surrounded by horses on her parents’ farm in the heart of Leicestershire, a career in horses was inevitable for Heidi. Her mum had her first pony lined up before she was even born and it wasn’t long before six-year old Heidi was a member of the Belvoir Pony Club and had her first tastes of success at local riding club shows. Heidi enjoyed a successful childhood competing in working hunter classes with her most impressive achievements including being crowned Champion at the Royal International Horse Show in 2012 and placing 2nd at HOYS in 2014. Heidi started eventing in the autumn of 2013 and won her first event, a BE80 at Frickley, on Riversdale Magic Heart.

2018 was a very exciting year for Heidi as she proved her consistency by achieving an astounding 36 top ten finishes out of 42 events, the highlight of which had to be winning team and individual silver at the Junior European Championships in Fontainebleu. This exceptional performance was made all the more special by Heidi having produced Royal Fury from the very beginning of his eventing career. This fantastic year was topped off by Heidi achieving promising results on two more self-produced youngsters as six-year old Halenza placed 9th in her first Intermediate while her exciting new 4 year-old, Jack Ass, finished 10th at the Osberton Young Horse Championships.

2019 got off to a flying start with Heidi landing an impressive 1-2 at Lincolnshire Intermediate Young Rider Trial. Her success continued with a great win at Belton Intermediate. Following this, Heidi was selected to represent Great Britain at the Young Rider European Championships in Maarsbergen in Holland on her own Royal Fury. Heidi managed to climb 20 places after the dressage to win an individual bronze medal. Heidi was also selected on two horses to compete at the world seven year old championships with her own, Halenza, and David Ottewells Russal Z, where they finished 10th and 15th. To finish off a fabulous season Heidi was the leading under 21 rider of the year and win the Goldmans league for the most BE points of the season and finished the season ranked 48th in the World.

Lucy Stimson

Lucy Stimson is a 20 year-old event rider based in Leicestershire.

Surrounded by horses since she was born, a career in horses was inevitable. Mum Gail is the owner of Somerby riding school, and Lucy has been lucky enough to always have horses and ponies on her doorstep.

During her teenage years, Lucy enjoyed success on a number of ponies, in particular Cregaan Scenic who gave her the eventing bug and keenness to continue onto horses.

After leaving school at 16, she spent three seasons at Jeanette Brakewells yard in staffordshire, where she gained invaluable knowledge in both riding and management to take with her when setting up on my own.

In 2021 Lucy moved back home to Somerby and built up a string of horses, from youngsters to 4* horses. Into this string came one of her top horses, Tynan Cooley who has competed up to 2* level. Together, they have now stepped up to 4* level, including success at 3* level on the way up the ladder.

In the early part of 2023, she was lucky enough to gain the ride on previous 5* campaigner Ridire Dorcha, thanks to her owner Moira Ashton-Walsh. Season highlights included finishing 6th at Hartpury 3*L and also completing their first Advanced after only 6 months together.  She have some exciting plans with him and Tyanan Cooley.

Lucy also have a string of young horses, with which she has had success in the age classes as 4, 5 and 6 year-olds.

Alongside her event horses Lucy has developed a breeding programme using her own mares and has recently welcomed her first stallion to the team with plans to expand the breeding in 2024.

Lucy trains with 5* riders J-P Sheffield, Oliver Townend and also Holly, Amy and Ian Woodhead who provide her with the very best tutoring.

She is looking for sponsors and owners to help build on her significant early success and achieve her next goal.

My support of Willa includes the supply of promotional and publicity images both in and out of competition for Willa and her sponsors.
