Hunting with Cambridge University Drag Hounds

My base in Oakham gives me the perfect position to photograph some of the World's most famous fox hunts. Oakham itself is in the Cottesmore country, which is (roughly) bordered in the West by the B6047 and in the East by the North Sea. West of the Cottesmore is the Quorn country; the Belvoir hunt […]

Cottesmore Hunt Opening Meet 2016

The Cottesmore Hunt Opening Meet was held at Preston Lodge, near Braunston, a week or so earlier than usual, but still attracted an large mounted field and many foot followers who enjoyed the October sunshine. I recognised visitors from the Quorn, Belvoir, Fernie, Pytchley and Warwickshire hunts, to name but a few. This year the Cottesmore Hunt are celebrating […]

The problem with watermarks - a plea to photographers

NOTE: since writing this post I have added an up-to-date guide to what to do if your photographs are stolen. Don't get me wrong, I don't think watermarks are a bad thing per se, I just think we, as photographers, are not using them effectively. Why do we use watermarks? This is the crux of […]

The Tatler 1930 - Spotting The Belvoir

This caught my eye the other day, not least because of the headline that you wouldn't get away with in polite society in the 21st Century. The image in the Tatler shows a meet of the Belvoir Hounds At Landyke Lane, Near Ab Kettleby, in the February 5th 1930 issue of The Tatler but it […]

Qode Bridge contact form unusable - how to fix it

One of my client sites uses Qode's Bridge theme. The page looked great but I couldn't click in […]

5 ways NOT to photograph horses

5 ways NOT to photograph horses is one of those posts which I will never publicise. Why? Because people will have strong opinions about images of horses, some will take it as personal (it isn't) and I don't want to hang myself out to dry. I do, however, value your opinion and would be grateful […]

About Nico

I am an equine photographer, website designer and hosting provider living in Lincolnshire.

I work with clients who are sole traders and others which are FTSE companies. They are equally important to me.

If you need commercial photographyeditorial photography, event photography, lifestyle, equestrian or wedding photography, then I can help you, with over 30 years experience in these areas.

I also teach photography. I mentor photographers with a range of experience, from beginners to working professionals and run an equine photography course which gives members access to articles about the business of equestrian photography.

I have a varied set of skills, having worked for well known web design, SEO and analytics companies in parallel to my photography.

I design, host and maintain websites for clients as varied as farms, interior designers and equestrian centres, as well as for bloggers and sportspeople, including many riders.

I am the Public Relations Officer for the Midlands Area Point-to-Point Association, a role which utilises my PR and social media skills to promote horse racing both online and in the National press.

If you think that I could be the right person to help you, whatever your project, then please get in touch and we can discuss what you need and the ways in which I can help.
