The Cottesmore Hunt Boxing Day meet in Oakham

The Cottesmore Hunt, founded in 1666, continued the tradition of meeting on Boxing Day in Oakham as they congregated in Cutts Close today. The Quorn Hunt traditionally hold their opening meet at their kennels at Kirby Bellars, just West of Melton Mowbray. How to upgrade an SSD drive and not lose your operating system

Many computer systems nowadays come with SSD (Solid State Disk) drives for the operating system to ensure quick start up times and fast read/write times for the operating system and applications. The only problem with this superfast technology - particularly the small on-motherboard M.2 drives - is that it is relatively expensive compared to larger […]

Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials 2019

I was once again commissioned by Land Rover to photograph the Burghley Horse Trials 2019 for them as title sponsor. In addition to photographing the equestrian competition event in a way which incorporates Land Rover branding I was asked to photograph the Land Rover "activations": the company's stands, hospitality areas and other public-facing activities. The […]

Adding multiple images using WordPress Gutenberg

For some time now it is been frustrating me that, as a photographer, when I want to add multiple images to a blog post using the new WordPress Gutenberg interface I have to do each image one at a time. In fact, it annoys me so much, that I started to post multiple images as […]

How to secure your WordPress website (and improve your SEO in the process)

What is HTTPS? HTTPS is a URL (web address) system similar to the standard HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) scheme. It is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web […]

About Nico

I am an equine photographer, website designer and hosting provider living in Lincolnshire.

I work with clients who are sole traders and others which are FTSE companies. They are equally important to me.

If you need commercial photographyeditorial photography, event photography, lifestyle, equestrian or wedding photography, then I can help you, with over 30 years experience in these areas.

I also teach photography. I mentor photographers with a range of experience, from beginners to working professionals and run an equine photography course which gives members access to articles about the business of equestrian photography.

I have a varied set of skills, having worked for well known web design, SEO and analytics companies in parallel to my photography.

I design, host and maintain websites for clients as varied as farms, interior designers and equestrian centres, as well as for bloggers and sportspeople, including many riders.

I am the Public Relations Officer for the Midlands Area Point-to-Point Association, a role which utilises my PR and social media skills to promote horse racing both online and in the National press.

If you think that I could be the right person to help you, whatever your project, then please get in touch and we can discuss what you need and the ways in which I can help.
